IORMA and UKTI
IORMA has a close working relationship at Board level with the UK Government’s UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), sharing priorities and experience on a regular basis.
And IORMA has now been given a powerful role in the Government’s new e-Exporting programme, launched by trade minister Lord Livingston in Birmingham, UK on 6 September 2014.
UKTI’s new e-Exporting Advisory Group includes three IORMA Board members:
- John Andrews IORMA Chairman and CEO
- Dan Wagner CEO Powa Technologies
- Allyson Stewart-Allen Director, International Marketing Partners
John, Dan and Allyson, together with the other members of this new advisory board, will advise UKTI on how to keep its e-Exporting programme up to date and relevant for UK retailers and brands.

IORMA has also accepted UKTI’s invitation to join its new e-Expertise Bank, which will provide in depth information for businesses seeking to enter new markets, and its Luxury advisory group, which will focus on the interests of UK exporters of luxury products and services.

IORMA and IBM
- NEW GLOBAL TEAMING AGREEMENT
IORMA’s global status is underpinned by our new global teaming agreement with IBM, enabling us to work together on new projects of value to businesses seeking to apply innovative technologies in transforming the easy they work for customers.
The latest of these was the IBM 15 September 2014 conference Digital Transformation for Travel and Transport: the Customer Journey, with speakers including IORMA’s Chairman and CEO John Andrews and Board member David Wortley. Neil Callaghan of IORMA’s research partner eDigital Research, along with Andrea Mestiner of Hotels.com and Rishi Srivastata of SapientNitro showed customer preferences and communications that their analytics reveal, and shared their thoughts on ways forward for companies engaged in business and leisure travel.
Hosein has considerable experience right across consumer commerce, as an executive team member of Mobile Money Network Ltd (now Monitise) chaired by Sir Stuart Rose, former CEO of Marks & Spencer. Before that, as International MD of GSI Commerce, where he grew revenues working with retailers including Polo Ralph Lauren, Toys R US, Helly Hansen, Peak Performance and Tous.
